This policy applies to the GoodThought Services described in this document and is subject to applicable law.
Purpose
This Expert Agreement governs an expert’s participation in the GoodThought marketplace and provision of expert sessions or other expert services.
Independent Contractor
The expert is an independent service provider and not an employee, partner, agent, or joint venturer of GoodThought unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.
Profile and Approval
Experts must provide accurate profile information, qualifications, experience, credentials, and service descriptions. GoodThought reviews profiles before publication and may request updated information.
Identity and Stripe Verification
Experts must complete applicable identity, KYC/KYB, tax, and payout onboarding through Stripe Connect and any additional GoodThought verification reasonably required for the service.
Pricing and Marketplace Economics
Expert prices are set subject to GoodThought marketplace rules. The current marketplace economics are 80% to the expert and 20% to GoodThought, subject to applicable refunds, reversals, chargebacks, fees, and law. GoodThought absorbs applicable Stripe processing fees under the current model.
Sessions
The booked expert must conduct the session. Experts may not impersonate another person, share accounts, allow unauthorized third parties to conduct sessions, or engage in prohibited conduct.
Cancellations
Experts normally provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations may result in customer refunds/rescheduling and proportionate GoodThought action. Genuine emergencies may be reviewed as exceptions.
No-Show
If an expert fails to attend a scheduled session, the customer will generally receive a full refund or the option to reschedule with the same expert, subject to availability.
Session Conduct
Experts must behave professionally, respect customer privacy, comply with applicable law, and follow GoodThought Community Guidelines and Content Policy.
Notes and Records
Experts may provide session notes to the customer through GoodThought where the feature is available. Experts must not use session notes to circumvent GoodThought privacy or security controls.
Ratings and Feedback
Customers may rate/review experts after completed sessions. Ratings are not publicly displayed on expert profiles in the current model, but may be visible to the expert and used internally for quality and marketplace management.
Suspension and Termination
GoodThought may suspend or terminate an expert relationship for serious or repeated violations, fraud, safety concerns, credential problems, payment abuse, or other material breaches. Experts may appeal or request review where appropriate.
Taxes
Experts are responsible for their own taxes, filings, licenses, insurance, and professional obligations unless applicable law or a written agreement provides otherwise.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Experts must keep customer information confidential and use it only as necessary to provide the agreed services and comply with applicable law and GoodThought policies.
Payouts
Expert earnings become eligible for payout after successful session completion and are paid through Stripe Connect according to the applicable payout schedule and any legitimate holds, reversals, disputes, or reserves permitted by Stripe or law.
Disputes and Chargebacks
GoodThought may manage payment disputes and chargebacks through Stripe, provide relevant booking/payment records, and recover disputed amounts from expert balances or future payouts where permitted.
Rescheduling
One normal reschedule is permitted per booking. GoodThought admin/support may make additional changes in exceptional circumstances with appropriate authorization and audit logging.
Acceptance
By applying to, joining, or continuing to participate in the GoodThought expert marketplace, the expert agrees to this Agreement and applicable GoodThought policies.
Questions & Contact
Questions and notices may be directed to the applicable contact above.
Final Expert Content Ownership
Experts retain copyright in original expert-created articles, videos, audio, meditations, courses and lessons unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Final GoodThought Content License
The expert grants GoodThought a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, technically process, stream, display, include in subscription libraries, promote, use thumbnails/excerpts/previews, distribute through GoodThought web/apps, and make necessary technical adaptations. GoodThought may continue using previously licensed content for the remainder of the agreed license term after the expert relationship ends.
Final Identity Rule
The verified expert account must match the booked expert. Substitution requires GoodThought approval and verification.
